This trip to China is definitely a memorable one as there was much I've learnt. I learned much about Yue Fei and feel that I should learn from him and be loyal to my country. I had many friends in Juyuan Experimental School and so I had to give away many presents. Although it was tiring at night when we had to write journals about the wonderful day we had, it was worth it. I was happy to be able to adapt to their studying habits .They can't choose what they want for their lunch and had to follow the daily menu. I have learnt how to be independent and not to rely on my parents. I would like to thank my teachers for taking care of me all these days.

It was an unforgetable trip as 34 of our fellow schoolmates, 5 teachers, our school principal and us learnt more about Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing and Hangzhou over the span of twelve days in China. Every place we went to was rich in history and had its own unique cultures and customs. I was so intrigued by what I saw and heard that I became more passionate about learning the Chinese language and history. The most enriching experience we had on this trip was going to the Yangjing Juyuan Experimental School where our pupils joined the school’s classes and activities. We had also put up a wonderful performance for the P5 pupils, teachers and principals from the school. During our six days in the school, we made many good friends and shared our unique cultures with each other. It was an enlightening trip that has strengthened the bond between our school and theirs. It has taught us valuable lessons such as independence and espirit’d corp. Time had passed by quickly,we were sad that the trip had come to an end. It had been memorable and unforgettable for all of us.

It was really an unforgettable trip for us.Our fellow schoolmates and teachers, including our principal, went for the exchange programme in China. Together, the 36 of us toured Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing and Hangzhou. Our patient tour guide explained to us the history of all the places of interest and we have all learnt more about the culture and the history of China after his explanations. Throughout the memorable 6 days in Shanghai Yangjing- Juyuan Experimental School, we had each made strong friendship bonds between our individual buddies and us. My buddy, May, and I went through a memorable time which will always be kept in my mind. I am grateful and really appreciate what the teachers had done for us.I want to thank them for making this trip an unforgettable learning experience for us.

It was a very memorable trip as I went to a lot of places and learnt alot of things.Even though it was very scorching for a few days,I felt that it was worth it.However, after a week,it became very windy. It was like having a tornado in Singapore. I recalled the first day when I was still in Singapore, travelling on the aeroplane to Shanghai. The flight was probably shaky and it makes me dizzy. I went to the toilet a lots of times and threw up... Luckily my teacher was there to help me.Otherwise...

This is my buddy. Song Xin Ke, from Shangai Yangjing-Juyuan Experimental School. She was a really friendly person and was also a great help to me during the Chinese lessons. Whenever I have problems with words that I don't know how to read, I just have to open my mouth and ask her, and the answer would be most polite. During English lessons, she would also ask me questions whenever she had problems. I really treasure the joyous moments I had with her during the short period of time with her. Although we are now in different countries, we still keep in contact with email. On our last day in Shanghai, we had a farewell ceremony. They performed fabulous dances, songs, they also presented their school's storyteller, who won the international story telling competition. Not only was her face filled with expression, even her words were filled with expression! The performance was so touching that I almost cried! Talking about the tours, the three places I favour most are-虎丘(Tiger Hill), 中山陵(Mausoleum Of Sun Yat-Sen) and last but not least, 东方明珠塔(“Oriental Pearl” TV Tower).Tiger Hill got it’s name because its shape looks just like a tiger. There is a house in front – the two round windows represent the eyes of the tiger while the doorway represents the mouth. As we walk to the end, we can see a tower which is slightly slanted representing the tiger’s tail.To get to the Mausoleum Of Sun Yat-Sen, we had to climb 392 stairs to get to the top. Although it was tiring, it was all worth while, as we got to see a really magnificent view from the top.The ‘Oriental Pearl” TV Tower is fabulous. If you go up the tower at night, you can see the really beautiful night view. I really enjoyed looking down at the night views from such a high level. Well, time really flies when you are enjoying yourself. The short 12 days ended, though I was sad to leave, I returned to Singapore with a lot more knowledge about the history of China. With that, I would like to thank all the teachers for making this trip possible.
